He first started serving as a character coach and huddle leader at Matoaca High School and Matoaca Middle School, later join the staff of FCA as a part time Area Representative in 2015. Allen came on staff full time in September 2019. Allen has been married to his wife Wendy for 21 years and they have a son, Matthew (11) and a daughter, Hannah (10). When he is not serving coaches and athletes as a FCA staff member, you will find Allen serving the families of his community as a baseball and basketball coach, or as the director of a local baseball organization.

“My call to FCA started with my call into ministry in 2004. Over the last 16 years I have served God by helping plant a church, serving as an interim and youth pastor, serving as a senior pastor for 2 local churches, and ultimately culminated in my call to come on staff with FCA. Like so many others, my love for sports and God started as a child and both have been a part of my life ever since. I was a high school and collegiate golfer, and spent 4 years as a golf professional prior to getting married to Wendy. I have been blessed to be called a husband, father, and pastor, but there is just something special about being called coach. I know firsthand the influence a coach has on the players they serve, so serving coaches and athletes with FCA is something that provides me an opportunity to make a greater impact for the Kingdom of God than I could have ever imagined.”
